Terms and conditions

  1. 1.

The conditions below form part of the contracting, sale and/or delivery. They are to be regarded solely and exclusively as the law between the parties, despite and above any other provisions and/or conditions.

  2. 2.

The customer, or the person present on the customer's behalf at the place of delivery and/or installation, must sign for agreement and receipt of the goods. This means that the delivered goods conform to the order, show no defects and have been delivered/installed correctly. If not signed, any complaint must be made known by registered letter within 3 days.

  3. 3.

All contracts are deemed to have been concluded at the registered office of the company. The delivered goods or performed work are 100% payable immediately on collection, delivery or installation. In the absence of cash payment, interest of 1.25% per month is due by operation of law and without prior notice of default, as well as damages of 10% of the outstanding balance with a minimum of € 50.

  4. 4.

The goods remain the property of the seller until the purchase price has been paid. The delivered goods remain movable property and may be removed by the seller if they have not been paid for in full. To this end, the buyer authorises the seller to enter the property and to gain access to the building by any legal means.

  5. 5.

A ten-year warranty is given against defects such as warping and bowing that fall outside the normal tolerance. Claims regarding hidden defects must be made immediately after they are found and no later than 6 months after delivery. Warping and bowing of 8 mm or less are not a hidden defect but a normal tolerance. Cracks caused by the wind are likewise not a hidden defect. We cannot give a warranty on colours and varnishes. Products bought untreated, without colour or varnish, only keep their warranty if the customer treats them with a protective layer within eight days of delivery and/or installation: either colour + pore filler, or primer.

  6. 6.

Slight differences in colour or tone may occur between the colour chosen in the showroom or on a sample and the coloured products delivered. These differences can in no case give rise to complaints or damages.

  7. 7.

All our staircases are covered with cardboard during installation. This cardboard must be removed immediately after installation. Failing this, the warranty on the staircase lapses.

  8. 8.

When measurements need to be taken before the thresholds, the screed or the finished floors have been laid, the customer is responsible for ensuring that these are carried out according to our indications.

  9. 9.

If correct installation requires removing skirting boards, plasterwork, thresholds, tiling or wallpaper, this work must be carried out by the buyer. If this work is nevertheless carried out by our installers, we cannot be held responsible for any damage and this can in no case give rise to a claim for damages. This adjustment work will be invoiced separately.

  10. 10.

Breaking out and taking away old staircases and doors is not included.

  11. 11.

On the walls and floors against or on which we work, all pipes and/or conduits must be marked. If this is not the case, we are not responsible for any damage.

  12. 12.

If damage is caused by our employees during delivery and/or installation, the amount of the damage may in no case be deducted from the invoice to be paid. Our insurance company will handle it further. Any damage claim must be made known by registered letter within 3 days.

  13. 13.

Damage caused by third parties to our staircases/doors cannot be charged to us.

  14. 14.

Any complaint regarding the prices charged on the invoice must be made known by registered letter within 3 days of receipt of the invoice. A possible calculation error can be corrected without affecting the execution of the order.

  15. 15.

All our deliveries are made on the ground floor or the first floor. Unless agreed otherwise, the buyer agrees to pay the rental price or to provide a furniture lift for delivery to other floors.

  16. 16.

A delay in delivery can never give rise to damages. It may not be invoked for full or partial cancellation of the order.

  17. 17.

No order can be cancelled except within eight days of the confirmation of the order and with our express agreement. In this case the customer will owe us fixed damages equal to 25% of the order with a minimum of € 125. Goods already manufactured will be delivered and must be paid for under the agreed conditions.

  18. 18.

The quality of the wood is guaranteed by the current standards of the following institutes:

A detail of these can be requested at any time.

  19. 19.

As a mutual guarantee and commitment to swift settlement of disputes by arbitration, the B.A.I.
